about

The origin of the track, lies with Mohit developing the intention of resolving internal conflict. Conflict based within an artistic identity dealing with finding one's true calling. His thought was that although intense practice and training can lead to accomplishments, they lead in most cases in creating a larger picture on one's life's true aspirations. In his mind, this song represents the philosophy of an accomplished artist who's not driven by his/her achievements. The artist is always looking to evolve, because the ideal exists in the distance, never to be reached. Hence the journey the artist undertakes provides a spiritual spiritual and that of being one with god.

"This idea came to me as I met an old friend of mine and offered her some advice as she is going through the same mixed emotions of an identity crisis as an artist. The only one person I can correlate the current scenario to is a man who has shaped contemporary and post modern music, John Coltrane. Being such an accomplished musician in his field he was never content with himself. And in the process of wanting to achieve greatness/nirvana, he set milestones and trends which could only be matched by a few. In my opinion people with conflicting mentalities (conflict between ambition and idealism) are the one's who really mould and affect culture and the people around them. Success comes to these people and they are never satisfied, sometimes depressed, but this is not a result of greed or wanting social validation, it is because they see themselves as a bigger person and always wish for more."

lyrics

The world doesn't measure up to my ideals and dreams.
Contradiction it seems, is the median and means.

This feeling I feel, like the rabbits foot
I'm tryna catch it all the time, just like grab and hook
I’ve got life defeated twenty six to two,
dahh, I'm in that Coltrane mood.

Giant steps, spiritual,
Are they waiting to happen,
or my quest for elysium strapping me some in entrapment
This is philosophy for the anomalies,
amidst the harmonies, prophetic anthropology counter force to apostrophes.
Complete loss of self, it's a raggedy road to vanity.
Swelling bees to honey mead like family
salute to your majesty,
creation unlike religion, pragmatic for its laity.

Its illegal to condemn temporal upgrade, updates
even though a artist may receive persistent accolades,
but at the bottom of it all is a headless pit
where neither the fame nor perfection will ever let you quit.
Its a personal favor,
that shields the sanctum of my dreams,
never waiting, always pushing, engorging at the seams.
All the slaving away, is only my pleasure,
pound for pound, this is my only treasure.
When I make a beat, I am my only measure
the only drugging measure when my trenches have been heightened,
Madvillainy MF, like aye aye captain,
when I hold the mic it's an end to the means,
Messed type of message that it sends to the fiends,
I'm the rappers rapper
Imma babble dapper
But all that matters is I'm a questful camper.
Similes and slackers are my instruments and
Boom! boom! Disasters.
But stay off my turfs, will never leave me mouth,
come join me while I makes you peoples proud.
It's a conflict of emotions, that creates the best,
at least a sound of consequence don't forsake the blessed.

The world doesn't measure up to my ideals and dreams.
Contradiction it seems, is the median and means.

This song wasn't written to be rapped upon,
this is just a drape that covered the beat that was jazzed upon,
I'm like a lexicon.
Hypocrisy is my art economy.
Just pushing equality, no dishonesty, it takes its toll.
Depression, animosity,
rare form commodity.
Ricochet back and forth, resupply frivolity.
Binging on veloc, overtaking the words
bell shaped curve, overtaking my nerve.
Change to society, one rhyme at a time,
When the sax come on, i'm going to make you cry.
Verse came on, shot you across the sky.
This is philosophy, for the anomalies, amidst the harmonies,
Prophetic anthropology is the armistice that will probably,
bring peace in a state of disharmony.
This is my time grabbing me so tight,
you gotta let go, inhibitions lack foresight.

Its like frostbite on a cold night,
Blindness in a gold mine,
Numbness on your night cream,
Gandhi in your fight dream,
Luther in asylum,
Enemy poseidon,
Threatening your silence, communal your violence.
Relevance is your guidance I stand in defiance.
Unnatural imbalance just stand in defiance.

Giant steps spiritual, have already happened.
It's a state of mind,
a state of soulful clapping
and my quest for elysium releases me with the passion.
This is philosophy
for the anomalies amidst the harmonies,
prophetic and its calling me.
Swelling bees to honey mead like family
salute to your majesty,
creation my religion, pragmatic to its laity.
